The Art of Injection

Encyclopedia of injection technique on CD

Roger Stadra is a general practitioner, mainly working within the field of orthopaedic medicine - both clinically and as a teacher. Based on his own experiences he is showing the basics of intracutaneous injections of sodium chloride, local anesthetics and Cortisone.

This course is contained in DVD (PAL or NTSC, 1,5 hrs).
The medium is well used in order to watch those sections the viewer is most interested of.
Since Dr. Stadra presents himself and his view on medicine, the instruction film becomes a personal document as well as a course in the art of injection therapy. The introductory sections are basic and slow.
The main focus is on the injection process at specific localizations or diagnoses. The choice is adequate for the everyday general medical practice. For the diagnoses a short diagnostic description is given, and the localization of anatomical structures that are to be considered, yet without claim of being complete.
Technically the same layout techniques are repeated and the film could have been made shorter to make it faster. This instruction film is recommended to be used as a basis for discussions around injection techniques with an orthopaedic medical approach. I doubt that it is enough for the inexperienced to learn to master the technique.
